As much as I hate PayPal, this is probably your only option for NFC payments on GrapheneOS then

not to say PS5 plays PS4 games too
We already have PS4 emulation thanks to Bloodborne enthusiasts.

Bad Rats!

How can you fumble a quasi-monopoly on desktop operating systems this hard

My lemmy app just embedded the picture in the comment

Vasectomies are relatively cheap
Cheap compared to raising a child, but I wouldn’t call the almost 800€ I paid for mine “cheap”. That’s almost a years worth of groceries for me

You mean my $0.99 flashlight from Aliexpress doesn’t really have 100000 lumens? 😱

Maybe you should read more than 1 paragraph before commenting. And in general.
I’m pretty sure the analog ones are the exception, not the rule.
That is correct, and at least part of the reason for that is that most notebooks, and even many smartphones, don’t support them. DACs are so incredibly cheap nowadays that it costs the manufacturer less to put one in the adapter, than to deal with the cost of half their customers returning the adapter because it doesn’t work with their device.

but it seems nowadays, even Chromebooks have 16 GB of RAM and an i5.
That is extremely far from the truth. Yes, there are a handful of Chromebook with such specifications, but the vast majority has an underpowered ARM chip and 4gb of ram

Because they profit off the insider bets, and not paying out would make their users distrust them. Or are you expecting a gambling platform to put morals above profit?

I don’t see how this particular thing is an issue. You don’t need to activate Windows during the setup. You can skip activation, update the driver, and then activate windows afterwards

That’s not a problem with eSims, that’s just a problem with your custom ROM not shipping with absolutely basic functionality

If an 8-inch screen is enough for you, then I recommend either the Pocketbook Inkpad 4, or the Pocketbook Color 3 if you want color. They run Linux and have a very capable PDF Reader (especially compared to Kindles)
If you want an even bigger screen then sadly they start to get very expensive, and usually ship with an already outdated version of Android and an underpowered SOC. And they also have the terrible standby battery life you would expect from an Android device

That sounds great, but how would you objectively quantify productivity

That’s simply not true for PopOS

My legitimate copy of Photoshop CS6 works flawlessly with wine. But if you run the latest version it’s a different story

You can achieve the same thing with zero effort on any distro because DEs and themes aren’t tied to a distro
No, YOU can. But for the average Windows user this is far from “zero effort”. Just the fact that Zorin OS will automatically run Windows executables through wine without the user having to set it up is a huge deal for people coming from Windows who want their PC to “just work” without fiddling around

GHB is freely available because it’s used as an industrial solvent and cleaning agent, that’s why it’s legal in most countries.
Many people also use it as a recreational drug, it’s effects are similar to alcohol at low dosages
Do you mean internal SD card slot? Because pixels absolutely support external sd cards
