Like I get the touch grass mentality and that nothing online ever matters. But that’s a lie. People see this. Kids see it. Over and over and over again. This is the consequence of retreat.

They have channels that they promote these things to. They raise awareness. They treat the smallest bullshit like its a competition and they win. The consequence of that is when a big challenge or event shows up then they have the network in place to succeed. They can disseminate information rapidly. They can bring attention to their cause. They can defend their people.

The left does the opposite. We say go outside, nothing matters, go meet people at a coffee shop and chill guy. Meanwhile nobody but us are aware of our issues. Everybody on the right seems like they’re pushing social media content 24/7 in groups with minimal moderation in favor of keeping energy and momentum going for every topic. While the left are in these highly moderated hug boxes with major separation of concerns that stifle momentum on any current event.

I went on Facebook earlier. I saw a post in a ‘Lord of The Rings’ group that shared a meme comparing orcs to immigrants. The whole joke was that the orc said “my son was born in the shire therefore he is a hobbit” because you know. Immigrants and refugees.

And then I saw a Bobs Burger group where the main post was the family holding up an anti Trans flag. This stuff is daily. The comments are much worse.

I see this everyday and I partially blame all of you here. So many of you here were the ‘exodus’ people. Convincing every liberal or leftist user to block and ban and remove ourselves from other areas online. Since then everything has become so much worse and even though responsibility is on the poster, I still hold so many of you responsible for quitting when you’re needed the most.

I come here to lemmy to see if anything crazy good is happening and it isn’t. Like 4chan launched whole ass investigations. A bunch of racist morons performed some of the greatest opsec in internet history. Lemmy is posting about beans and moths and I just don’t know what to do beyond being mad at you all.
