TLDR:

The creator got an offer for a proton affiliate link and an interview (regardless of whether he would accept the affiliate link or not). after he rejected the sponsorship, proton ghosted him and ignored his reminders for the interview.

I actually watched the video. He was ghosted due to the fact that he declined the sponsorship and offered an alternative, which wouldn’t be seen. My guess is due to the fact that they did some background research on THO, and realized he probably would ask the tough questions (legitimately tough ones, not softballs).
