    Where’d you find that quote, because my browser’s search function fails to find it in the article.

      It isn’t a quote, just a note that it is called Germany, not the Holy Roman Empire. Though every European country has strong theocratic legacies.

        Organisations based on Germany tend to indicate this in their name. Like the German Red Cross, the German Life Saving Association, the German Football Union. There’s nothing theocratic about having “Germany” in the name of the German branch of the catholic church.

          The post title says

          Germany consecrates …

          which isn’t accurate, because that would mean the government or the country as a whole had a hand in it. The actual article title is correctly referencing the “German catholic church” (maybe edited after the fact).
