Can we talk more about the regime change narrative? You seem to say the Iranian people are now supporting the regime. Is it truly because the opposition was literally gunned down earlier in the year? Or is it because the opposition is rallying to the Iranian flag against a common enemy (the US and Israel)?

The news isn’t really talking about that and about why the protests against the regime haven’t started again.

I have more questions: if the US wins what does it win? What is victory? What’s the goal?

Isn’t the US doctrine supposed to be that it can fight a 2 front war easily? How is it struggling, finding itself having to shuffle troops in?

Also, how is all of this happening with no congressional declaration of war? Would I be sent to ICE prison if I were to call this administration traitors to the constitution?

The political capital required for such an agenda is immense.

I don’t think you realize the level of Stockholm syndrome created by cars. When you spend more than 50k on a car, of course you don’t want the government to ban it or make it harder for you to justify your purchase.

Better products? What about geopolitical interests? If China doesn’t need oil then they don’t have to care if the strait of Hormuz is open or closed.

It’s a nice added benefit that they are better for the air, quieter and have more cargo space.

The Neo yellow color is awful. The 5C colors were fun because the plastic material made them look good.

The amount of money that transited through “prediction markets” (I.e gambling platforms) is baffling.

522 million USD, with 25 million worth of bets placed on today, and that’s just one single prediction on one single site.

I can only imagine the Epstein class is making so much money off of these platforms since they literally control the news, meaning the outcome of each bet.

Bobby Tables grew up and bought a car?!

I just tried it after probably 5 years and it’s much better than what it used to be. The workflow is close to what I’m used to in NX, so far at least.

I just tried freeCAD and it’s night and day compared to what it used to be. I can actually design simple parts.

Waiting patiently for commercial software to be ported to Linux:

• creative suites, I think Canva is working on Affinity for Linux but they want to release their iPad version first. Wine is working right now but there are a few things I’m getting tired of (navigating folders and trying to print). I know, Gimp, Inkscape and Krita.
• 3D modeling software for engineers, like solidworks or NX. I’m trying Blender add-ons for CAD but it’s not as capable. Don’t you dare suggest FreeCAD.
• Music production software, esp. Ableton.

I see. It’s like the people wanting small phones. “We are a market” the twelve of them say repeatedly.

Y’all are allowed to hot glue a Bluetooth keyboard to the back of your phone you know.

Jokes aside, I wonder why there aren’t more protective cases with a built in sliding keyboard for phones. Would be cool.

The minimal phone looks like a brick and I understand why the e-ink is a choice that forces you to not use your phone as much but I’m not ready.
