      There is no actual mechanism for kicking a member state out.

      You can try to starve them out by not sending any financial support, which has worked a little (Poland), but clearly is not enough.

        Lol, “worked in Poland” my ass. As soon as they elected Tusk, he secured all money to be unfrozen, with his EU buddies, while no changes have actually been made

    What does Hungary block that cannot be done without them? Can’t the remaining countries sanction Russia on their own?

        Why? The free movements of goods makes it difficult but EU countries have closed their borders to control immigration.

        The EU was on its way to track the sources of all raw materials. If they finish, any country can sanction Russia.
