Over 50 cities, mostly European, have either restricted or tabled motions to introduce formal limitations on the advertisement of polluting products and services. Some – including several Dutch municipalities, Stockholm, Edinburgh and Sydney – have banned them altogether.

    My stance on this: ban all advertisement in public spaces except for: public events, cultural events, local independent businesses, messages of public interest.

    Also, regulate signage. There is nothing that ruins my balcony view more than the big yellow M glowing all night long above all other buildings.
