Next Sunday, September 6th, state elections will be held in Saxony-Anhalt. All eyes are on one party in particular: the AfD. Not only could it become the largest party with 42% of the vote, but due to Germany’s electoral system, it might even be able to govern alone. The other parties will probably get about as many votes together as the AfD alone. Security services in the state classify the AfD as extreme-right. And the party plans to implement its ideology in schools, since education is a state responsibility. They intend to make significant changes there. They want to make it less “woke” and more patriotic. For example,
- the party wants separate schools for disabled children and refugees.
- In history, less attention to the Holocaust and more to Bismarck.
- politics banned from classrooms.
- No rainbow flag, but the national flag in the schoolyard.
- No more anti-racism programs.
- And Russian becomes a compulsory subject.
If they end up governing, you also have to realize that they can adjust the education system for all pupils in that state in a way that suits their agenda, and that they can use it very effectively to position themselves.
The AfD’s lead candidate surrounds himself with figures from a banned neo-Nazi youth organization and Identitarian movement. Party officials have been seen attending Putin’s birthday at the Russian embassy in Berlin. If they win and govern in that state, they immediately get access to all documents from the German security services. And that is causing enormous concern for the German government. Because that way, Russia gets to look along via the AfD into all kinds of documents that you really don’t want Russia to have sight of.
Germany is also afraid that AfD will use this as a pilot project on a small scale to see what scores well and use that nationally. Combined with the fact that they are already the largest party in the polls, and a chancellor who is becoming less popular by the day… Germany is extremely worried about this.
An attempt to coup German parliament already happened 3 years ago by a group who wants the german empire back. One of the supporters was Birgit Malsack-Winkemann served as AfD member in the Bundestag, now awaiting her trial in prison… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWLsNM9anq8
Their mass manipulation and disinformation seems to work on Germans. How is this possible in gods name? They say: “If I had known that democracy required this much effort… and came with so many compromises, I would not have wanted democracy.” You can see from surveys like the Sachsen-Monitor and the Deutschland-Monitor that more and more people would prefer a single-party system or one strong hand that takes care of everything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kE2OKiXJaxA Shows why poverty leads to extremism and why we learned we need a social welfare state to avoid it. Apparently we didnt put it into practics too well perhaps…

I (and everyone else it seems) already forgot about this.
Germany should know better than us, but the second you let those traitors in, your democracy will be gone ina couple months. See Hitler and Shitler as examples.
No one stands up to them. Everyone in power will enable genocide for a couple million. There wasnt even a fight in the US.
GET RID OF YOUR NAZIS
Security services in the state classify the AfD as far-right.
No. They don’t classify them as far-right (that’s still stupid but not illegal) but as (far-)right extremists which includes well-documented anti-democratic and anti-constitutional goals.
you’re right, I translated that wrong, should be extreme right
They’re also extremely wrong.
What’s the difference? They’re terrorists, and need to be treated as such while labour conditions need to improve and desinformation sources (esp. supported by Russia and America) need to be removed.
Its scary how many people are so oblivious … They literally want to lessen control on power… AfD literally already attempted a coup on parlement before, by among others Birgit Malsack-Winkemann who served in the Bundestag as an AfD member now awaiting her trial in prison… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWLsNM9anq8 11:50
And please don’t forget AFD is influenced and supported by Russia!
What’s the difference? They’re terrorists…
The far-right might already have questionable political ideas (and in fact more often than not foreign support - which is even more absurd for self-professed natrionalists) but they are not by definition anti-democratic and anti-constitutional per se. Right-wing or far-right extremists however are in fact planning to destroy the democratic and constitutional order.
“Questionable” is putting it mildly. Either you are a fascist or not. And far-rightists, just like their extremists, are part of that. They’re the same to me: traitors of the lowest kind.
Lol Germans going back in time real quick. Oh well the USA will support AFD until it’s time to destroy Europe all over again. Afterall, if it wasn’t for the USA then Nazis never would have been in power. Time is a flat circle 😂😂
Afterall, if it wasn’t for the USA then Nazis never would have been in power.
How so? First time I hear this claim.
Yeah, it’s crazy how many stupid people live here… they probably think: Well, everything is fucked up, lets fuck it up even more…
And yet no one of the intelligent people seems to think why AfD rises so much.
poverty causes extremism ig?
I would personally focus on the current policies of the left wing, with poverty as a consequence.
If we look at the situation without prejudices we would clearly see that the far right begin to rise in Europe (with various degree) when the left started to ignore the common people’s problems, if not making them worse.
It is not logical to think that people were right extremist but somehow never voted for a far right party (or a far right party was never founded to get these votes). True, in 10/15 years there is a change in the demogaphy but it is not a long enough time frame to have a radical change.
What happened is that people voted as usual, then the ruling parties (most from the left) decided to adopt policies that make life worst for almost everyone and when they ignored the people complain about them if not calling them stupid and ignorant, the same people then started to vote for someone who at least listen to them with the hope that the problem would be solved, paving the way to AfD rise in Germany and people like Vannacci in Italy
A lot of the intelligent people know full well the reason why, but that doesn’t matter as long as the old and senile generation keeps voting for the greedy bastards that created most of our problems in the first place.

And yet all these intelligent people are not able to build a credible alternative to the current parties, left or right that they are, which is what paved the way to AfD.
