Allbirds made a surprising announcement Wednesday that it is pivoting from shoes to artificial intelligence. The move boosted shares of the miniscule market cap company — it was valued at about $21 million at Tuesday’s close — by 582%. The shares, which were under $3 a day ago, jumped to about $17.

This is the most bubblicious bubble to ever bubble.
Literally the easiest pump and dump ever. Company failing and you want to dump your shares at a good price? Announce you’re doing AI! How? Who cares?! It’s AI!
The company got bought and switched to AI after that. The new owner basically bought access to the stock market without having to create a new company and make an IPO.
I’m still waiting for them to announce the upgrade path. My remaining pair of Allbirds shoes still doesn’t have any AI functionality. No care for old cusomers.
