TVs are all 4k though. 1080p looks like shit on 4k screen.

This is so sick. I wish the console was more powerful and didnt rely on fsr for 4k preformance. I’d love to get my hands on that vr headset.

2·7 days agoUnless I’m missing some recent news that sounds like a really misleading interpretation of what happened. I thought he tweeted that he thought republicans were better than dems on big tech legislation.
That was an insanely stupid statement but its far from supporting trump and all his policy.
Because ownership is not distributed amongst the workers.

I dont think Foss is Socialist. Foss can be but generally isnt. 11
Or we could have politicians that do their jobs. Socialism doesnt fix any of these issues.
Companies will act just as degenerate when all their employees depend on its success and if you’re one of the socialism except state controlled thats even worse because you put all your eggs in that basket and if the government is bad you’re fucked. Look at what trump is doing as an example of how that could go.

62·13 days agoThat “high trust” is only because the government hides a lot of information from them where in a free country it would be discussed in public. The government heavily controls what information is available, what topics can be discussed and what opinions are allowed.
Its not because they govern responsibly and earnt the admiration of the general public.like you seem to suggest.

1·15 days agoYeah seems like everyone is constantly talking about suicide its very normalised. You dont really find people these days who havent contemplated suicide.
I would guess all or even most of the people talking about suicide with an AI arent serious. Heat of the moment venting is what I’d expect most of the ai suicide chats to be. Which is why I thought the amount would be significantly higher.

Technology@lemmy.world•Microsoft Teams can record office presence from DecemberEnglish
1·16 days agoThat to me seems like micromanager issue more than an issue with thr software. There are plenty of good managers and teams where they get great benefit from being able to at a glance see if you’re in office that day. In every team ive worked in its expected to update your status to display where you are working.
I’d like to not have to update my status as often and have it update automatically, save everyone a bit of hassle.
If we think about the bad micromanager situation a bit more without this they might be less comfortable with the idea of having people work from home so giving them this info helps them keep track better which allows them to give their team the freedom to remotely work.

Technology@lemmy.world•Microsoft Teams can record office presence from DecemberEnglish
62·17 days agoWhy are we pretending like someone working hybrid needs to hide their office status during work hours? Its not a privacy issue for your work to know where you are while you’re working for them.
Plus there is already a ton of ways your employer gets this data its not like any new ground is being broken here.
I dont get the outrage with this one NGL.
