That thing still shocks me with what it can pull off without even breaking a sweat. It’s hard to say what things will look like, as a whole, ten years from now, but considering I can still get updated drivers for a 300 series on a hobby rig I like to fuck with (it can run Borderlands 2, on high, what the fuck?!) Hope is precisely what landed us in this mess. Reason, pragmatism, and being willing to compromise on ideals is what will get us out, but guess what humans have never shown the capability nor the desire to do as a species throughout literally all of documented human civilization? All we do is escalate, it’s all we’ve ever done, and it has only one possible way of ending. We burned down the first society the moment we made up organized religion, that has been the template ever since. Society is global now, destroying it this time around isn’t something that even the atmosphere will survive.

Can we just launch all the nukes and get it over with already? That’s how this all ends, we already know that, we aren’t going to become better at being people, things are not going to improve. It would be the path of least suffering, at this point.
