In an interview with The Atlantic, Donald Trump said rebuilding and regime change in Venezuela “is better than what you have right now.”
Donald Trump laid out a stark warning to Venezuela’s interim leader Delcy Rodríguez, telling The Atlantic that “if she doesn’t do what’s right, she is going to pay a very big price, probably bigger than Maduro.”
Rodríguez had been serving as Venezuela’s vice president under President Nicolás Maduro, and the country’s supreme court declared that she would immediately assume the role of acting president after U.S. forces captured Maduro and brought him to the U.S.
Trump’s comments mark a shift in rhetoric from a day earlier, when he told reporters that Rodríguez had a “gracious” conversation with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

I am afraid you are the one who had been fooled, and I as well. Trump’s dementia is so bad, has been for a couple of years, he hasn’t been in charge this whole year. The powers behind the throne trot out morons like Patel and Hegseth for us to point and laugh at, all while the people actually running the show remain in the background.
Miller is a great example of a middle case. We all suspect he’s more powerful than he lets on, yet he keeps his mouth shut, at least compared to the rest of the marching morons. If you walked down the street asking random strangers to identify Miller’s photograph, how many you think could call it? And keep in mind, the world is not lemmy and such people. The “man on the street” is far more politically ignorant than we talk about on here.
And yes, the administration blew all political capital with this invasion/kidnapping. Know what? They don’t give a shit and no one will stop them. We are past testing international and domestic opinion. Reading the headlines at lunch last Saturday made my gut drop. They no longer care.
Call them stupid, but the stupids are about to blitzkrieg this hemisphere. Greenland will fall as soon as they feel they have a solid enough grip on Venezuela to continue. And like the Nazis, being giddy with success will lead to them biting off more than they can chew.
And yes, Trump’s absolutely in Putin’s pocket, and who knows who else that we never hear about.
Attacking Greenland would invoke NATO article V
If the USA is the attacker, article 5 is meaningless. 80% of Nato that can reach Greenland is the American Military. The rest can’t sustain an operation for more than a couple weeks without US logistics.
If the US goes palpatine, the rest of Nato are sitting ducks. They would need years to gear up to sustain operations beyond their own borders.
Ok well it’s that or roll over for the USA. In theory if Denmark invoke it. The rest join, we fight against a common enemy together. That’s what NATO is. It’s not only if we feel like it and the odds are good
