Leader of former Danish colony, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, condemns US ‘threats’ as Nordic neighbours offer support

Greenland has urged Donald Trump to give up his “fantasies about annexation” after the US president, fresh from his military operation in Venezuela, again threatened to take over the Arctic territory.

In a bracingly direct statement, the Greenlandic prime minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, accused the US of “completely and utterly unacceptable” rhetoric, declaring: “Enough is enough.”

On Sunday, Trump said the US needed Greenland “very badly” – renewing fears of a US invasion of the largely autonomous island, which is a former Danish colony and remains part of the Danish kingdom. Greenland’s foreign and security policy continues to be controlled by Copenhagen.

      Possibly:

      • or the EU will sell all its US debt, and will refuse to buy / hold US debt
      • or the EU will refuse to settle payments in US dollars, and will divest itself of them (leaving euro and yuan as world currencies)
      • or the EU will enact very damaging sanctions on the US
      • or the EU will request a geopolitical alliance with China, and ask China to influence its junior partner named Russia to stop attacking Ukraine (I note that this would likely work, and Russia would stop)

…at that point, the world order would have changed. Not necessarily for the better, but definitely for much worse for the US (it would be plunged into an economic crisis and have no chance of hegemonizing around the planet), but sadly also for Taiwan. China would very likely demand ignoring them. :(

EU and China could be reasonably certain of either side not attacking the other.

It doesn’t need to happen, a credible threat of pivoting east should be enough.

This is already a train that has left the station, Europe is waiting until the last minute because they’re currently complicit in American war crimes and are gambling on the American empire’s survival, but they will join mBridge soon enough.

Saudi Arabia joined, the US petrodollar is already dead. One day, your USD spending power will drop by half or more over night. America’s ability to finance their war machine will disappear, and people will finally suddenly have a conscience and demand end to Israeli support, they’re fucked too.

The Venezuela attacks are an open admission that the US empire is collapsing and in panic mode. The oil they steal won’t last forever, and they’ll have to compete with Saudi Arabia which will ditch the dollar.

The problem is that taking over Venezuela was not a fantasy and the fat, orange felon, rapist, pedophile has not ever been held accountable. He wipes his ass on these strongly worded declarations.

Oh it was a fantasy and still is. They’ve removed the president, but that doesn’t stop the regime. The VP has taken power, not the US.

Yup. And our propaganda networks are not on the streets in Venezuela, but reporting that the people are okay with what the US did. Nope. I have friends in and from Venezuela, and the nation is pissed. The next us soldier that steps for on Venezuela is going to have more than the Venezuela military to fight. Everyday people are ready and willing to fight next time.

Which is why this move was always dumb af. I know Madero was a criminal, who stole their last election and was not well liked by many as I understand it, but removing him in this way only helped to rally national support for the sovereignty of the nations border. tRump has ensured the US military won’t be welcomed there by more than just the Venezuelan military and has helped shore up the regimes popularity!

You’re right. But that one isn’t new to me. The Turd Reich is new. And I can’t believe I never came up with that, because it’s so obvious, haha.

Why, is anyone actually going to do anything about it?

    All evidence points to no.

      Mmm, maybe.

Venezuela isn’t being strongly protested because the guy they just deposed failed to win the last election and stayed in power anyway.

If he starts actually waving his dick around near Greenland, he can’t pretend he’s a liberator instead of a bully, and they’ll just be seen as the peaceful underdog. I suspect we’ll see action from the nordic countries if not actual action from the EU.

Lol, they are writing a strongly worded letter as we speak to send Trump from a cell next to Maduro. They caved to the spoiled child and taught him he’ll get what he wants one way or another.

This is how you respond to Trump.

“We’re not playing games here. You threaten to take a sovereign country from us one more time and we’ll have you executed while over half your country cheers for the death of their pedophile dictator.”

No, how you actually respond is by actually doing something. That is still just talk.

Nuh uh, Schumer wrote that 8-point, strongly worded letter that one time and then orchestrated a surrender at the peak of the govt. shutdown that may have actually been successful at something. They do stuff, just never the right or useful stuff.

I hear that Jens might have some cocaine and maybe a machine gun, better start cruise missling fishing boats to keep those dirty Greenland drugs out.
