Iranian state television says a missile strike on Dimona, home to a nuclear facility in southern Israel, was a “response” to an earlier attack on its Natanz nuclear site.

Iran’s atomic energy organisation said the “Natanz enrichment complex was targeted this morning”, adding there was “no leakage of radioactive materials reported”, according to local media.

The Israeli army confirmed “a direct impact of an Iranian missile” on a building in the city that houses a nuclear research facility, AFP reported.

I fucking hate this man, this may cause chernobyl all over and cause even more irreversible damage to the world. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t mind if Israel gets wiped off the map at this point; they’ve committed too many inhuman atrocities and they should not get away with it, including their own attacks to Iran’s nuclear site in Natanz. But a nuclear disaster is not a good outcome for anyone in the first place, especially for a neighboring country.

It’s existential for Iran’s leaders. When Netanyahu chooses to escalate and Iran follows suit then who’s to blame? Who would have predicted that Iran would have the gumption to attack the same type of target as Israel?

As far as I know Iran hasn’t targeted a school filled with 150+ children. Their “eye for an eye” policy apparently has at least a couple dudes going “yeah, nah, I don’t want to kill children”. Which is basically the inverse of what we’ve seen from Israel and the US.

Not to say they haven’t killed civilians. It just has not been the purpose of their targeting. They have no strategical benefit in doing so. Which, sadly, after over two years watching my country support a genocide, makes Iran look like a fucking saint by comparison.
