    Basically the fishing industry in Iceland is against it, and they employ a lot of people and have a lot of political weight. It doesn’t matter that they would be more secure joining the EU, and doesn’t matter that they have to follow EU rules without having a seat at the table. The fishing must go on undisturbed.

      They should speak to the fishing industry in the UK. Since Brexit they’ve been hammered. Day 1 they were complaining, but they extremely vocal for the leave campaign not long before.

      Eh they slowed talks ten years ago too, they are very evenly split and fishing is their culture and bread and butter. The common fisheries is the bogeyman.

      Europe needs to grow up, I want federations and the end to unanimity. Also get out of using children as an excuse to pass privacy breaches.
