      Well yeah, but also legacy American car companies have backed away from EVs, so they’re not going to take it up. And Rivian needs a few more years to get to mass market so not them

      American industry and jobs lose, but who wins?

    I wish there was an electric car with manual controls, for under $30k, that didn’t spy on me

      If you have an internal combustion engine car that is currently not running due to engine and or transmission issues, but nothing to repair regarding the body, suspension, brakes, etc. There are a couple of companies in LA that do EV conversions, complete with manual transmission mimicking, for about $30,000.
