9 October 2025 19:34 BSTHundreds of thousands of pro-Palestine demonstrators took to the streets of central London on Saturday, calling for lasting peace in Gaza, a day after the ceasefire took effect.
According Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), which organised the demonstrations against Israel’s genocide in Gaza, more than 600,000 people joined the march.
PSC director Ben Jamal said that the plan put forward by US President Donald Trump was “not a plan for enduring peace”, adding that it fails to address “the root cause of violence”.
That crowd and protest should be much larger than tommys gathering right?

there will only be lasting peace in the middle east when israel cannot commit war crimes with impunity.
A lot more will be needed than that but that is a very good start.

Meanwhile, a senior Hamas official said Saturday that the group’s disarmament, one of the core conditions of Trump’s postwar agreement, is “out of the question.”
