    I always joke with my wife that if she dies, I’m moving to Iceland. Her response was always that her European citizenship would not help me move there. Hope rises.

      As someone who moved to Iceland from the EU. Since Iceland is in the EEA it has special priviledges for people who want want to move in from the EEA. People from the EEA are allowed to buy property, and if you have an address you are allowed to stay indefinitely.

        I hope that for Iceland the priority will be for Icelanders, though. It’s a small country and the linguistic and cultural diversity should be preserved through each region being able to retain those in good cooperation with each other.
