The ammo for my riflenis literally called 45-70 Government, and I buy it in Walmart. I believe all small arms ammo desgined for military use is available to the US public.

He survived. Sad times.

I believe this is either a mockery of our misfortune, a lack of understanding of the situation, or wishful thinking.
No. Trump is just a.moron with a hefty serving of dementia.

So are you moving to other subscriptions, based in another country, that are also at the whim of other corporations?
I think it’s time more people learn how to self-host what’s important to them. At least make sure to keep multiple backups of all of your media.

You can’t unfuck this chicken.
100% I am definitely not offering an easy fix, and I hope my comment didn’t read that way. This chicken is…

My point is that had companies and governments no opted to put all their eggs in one basket, it wouldn’t have mattered as much whether the US morphed into a fascist hellscape or not.

The entire point of the Internet’s infrastructure design was for it to be highly distributed. At some point, companies and governments decided to cramntheir entire critical IT infrastructure into monolithic services. In this case it was the US, but it could have been anyone anywhere. No matter who, it was a bad practice and everyone is now realizing why.
This isn’t a “US bad” problem. This is a “don’t be stupid, stupid” issue.

I never said he wasn’t an idiot. I know from personal experience he is cringe and an idiot. My comment relates to the path he had chosen, where he was focusing his energies and , more importantly, the investment dollars he was getting, and how he veered off that path.

This is exactly what I meant.
I dealt with Elon during the PayPal days. He was a cringey fucker back then too, and we essentially laughed him and his stupid idea out of the building. So, I knew the type of guy he was back before 2015.
Ultimately, Forest Gump’s momma said it best. Stupid is as stupid does. If Elon’s actions pushed forth positive change, it wouldn’t matter how big of a cringey fuck he was.

The part that stings the most about Elon to me is the failed potential or his missed opportunity to have been a great man and a true benefit to humanity. Larry Ellison has always, ALWAYS, been a cartoonishly evil fucker. So, when he does evil shit you aren’t shocked. Elon was, on the surface, trying to do things to help humanity progress. Instead, he shit on all of it and threw fuel to the fire that will burn the USA to the ground.

Seems like a slam dunk case of involuntary manslaughter, if it had been in the US. No idea how French law works.

Almost all of this is Elon’s fault. Sure, a small percentage is Byd, but it’s mostly Elon. Toxic brand.

That goes against well documented psychology and physiological development research.

NATO or no NATO, the EU needs an army.

I live in Wyoming. The coldest my basement will get is 45°F even though it has no heating and outside temps often go below -20°F. Pitching a tent down there would keep us nice and toasty, no matter what.
If you live in extremely cold weather areas, and you have the land, building a small underground bunker could easily save your life. Think of it as putting in a small pool with a roof.

On a laptop it is relatively simple to maintain encrypted stealth “drives” within a logged in and decrypted system. Is there a way to “unlock” a phone that depending on the password given will present a true versus secretly sanitized version? For example if you login with password 1234 you get a sanitized version and if you log in with password xyz789 you get the full access. All of it done without a tell that the “full access” version exists.

I mean…the Trump administration is telegraphing the shit out of their intentions.

Eh. I am very happy with thwir service, but I didn’t opt for the free tier. It has replaced my old VPN service provider, 1Password, google’s 2FA, Google Drive, and the office suite is useful.
Since i was paying for other services that offered no privacy, switching to a single paid service with privacy ended up saving me money, so no complaints.
