UPDATE: (no trade for us, I guess)

We already lost. Trump got bullied/suckered by Israel into this mess without a clearly defined American win scenario. Israel has one and they are getting it. The US does not, because Trump is weak and catastrophically dumb, ignorant, narcissistic, and incompetent.

Jokes aside though, we have to use Windows 10 iot VMs and VDIs to connect to secure production environments due to our clients’ corporate policies. Currently we host and sandbox the VMs on Linux servers in order to ensure the integrity of our interactions with the client systems. How the fuck arebwe supposed to do that in the future when the VM’s OS is constantly chatting with a third party?

In your opinion, how useful was Claude in your development process? How did you use it in your process?

For a very long time, the US military has prided itself on performing surgical strikes with the least amount of civilian casualties and collateral damage as possible. Israel prides itself in their capacity to inflict maximum pain and destruction.
Allowing Israel to lead and dictate our military operations (as stated by Trump and US officials) in any way, is leaving us soaked in blood and with a stain that won’t clean off for a very long time.

As long as no innocentworkers just trying to make a living were injured, I’m ok if the machines burn.

The CEO was VERY clear about this in his interview with Larry Ellison’s CBS News.
LMDE Cinnamon. Boring. Rock solid.

I always joke with my wife that if she dies, I’m moving to Iceland. Her response was always that her European citizenship would not help me move there. Hope rises.

Those rules have not mattered in my lifetime. They are guidelines at best.

She likes putting guests on the hot seat.

What we are going to do is build thousands of more datacenters while all that fresh galcier water changes the salinity of the oceans and raises sea levels.
Can we do something? Yes. Should we do something? Obviously. Will we? Doubt. Will the majority of humans currently alive today have to contend with the impact of climate change at ever increasing severities for the rest of our lives, regardless of what actions we take today? Almost assuredly. Any environmental work we do (and should do) today is for the benefit of future generations, not our own. We are so fucked.
This isn’t doomerism. It is realism that goes counter to blind optimism. It also doesn’t change the fact that we’ve got to get to work.

We’re so fucked.

But OpenSuse is a thing, and European as fuck. Start there.

Any RAM or storage in those things? That solar panel looks useful.

Stock photo of Trump shitting in his diapers.
I installed Pop!_OS on a Thinkpad in 2020 and have been using that install as my daily driver without issue. That includes multiple LTS release upgrades. The key is to stick with LTS releases. It’s boring because you do not get the latest and greatest features, but the payoff is rock solid stability.
EDIT: As far as distros, I stick with Pop!_OS for myself, Linux Mint for my wife (we’re both IT professionals), and LMDE for my servers.
Server or workstation?
The only thing these stupid AI chips in my phone are good for. The eye patch is 100% AI slop.
