Technically not, but neither Tehran nor Washington is a true friend of Europe. In fact the current war is in many ways amazing for Europe. It destroys weapons stockpiles, which Iran could have sold to Russia and also keeps the US busy, which means no invasion of Greenland. The big issue is the oil price though.
Even that - in the mid- to long run - could prove to have some positive effects as it speeds up a shift towards renewables
