I did not know that. There’s a bunch of news articles going around claiming that even the creators of the models don’t understand them and that they are some sort of unfathomable magic black box. I assumed you were propagating that myth, but I was clearly mistaken.

Interesting conclusion, LLMs are inherently 1D in nature, and ARC is a 2D task. LLMs are able to emulate 2D reasoning for sufficiently small tasks, but suffer greatly as the size of the task increases. This is like asking humans to solve 4D problems.

This is probably a fundamental limitation in LLM architecture and will need to be solved someday, presumably by something completely different.

Fuck it, I welcome a renegade AI enslaving humanity at this point.

Especially because that AI was probably trained on smutty fanfiction.
