They feed cows corn, and because the cow’s stomachs aren’t well evolved to digest corn, they have to feed them antibiotics constantly, thus making cows the number one consumer of antibiotics in the country. Besides corn they also feed the animals soy. I know this because importing soy protein isolate is cheaper when it’s for animals instead of human consumption even if it’s essentially the same thing.
