Israel’s Knesset passed a bill on Monday mandating the death penalty for Palestinians convicted of deadly acts of terrorism. The bill stipulates that the death penalty will be imposed on a terrorist who killed a person “with the intent to deny the existence of the State of Israel.”
In doing so, the bill’s wording creates a distinction designating it almost exclusively for Palestinian terror, while the ideological burden of proof it sets is expected to make its application to Jewish nationalist terror nearly impossible.
Sixty-two lawmakers voted in favor of the contentious bill, including several opposition members; 48 voted against it, and one abstained.
Next up: being Palestinian is an act of terrorism
Ugh.
Ah yes. Now define the legal term for terror. Being Palestinian perhaps?
My guess is it’s as loose as the definition for being a terrorist according to the US.
Terrorism is something you do, not something you are. A terrorist is not a kind of person, its a person who’s done terrorism.
It’s amazing how many people deny this just because the terrorism was in service of a cause they support.
In Israel, terrorist is a race of people.
Also, in many cases, a citizen.
You know what would be an easy way for Trump to end the war AND win world-wide approval?
Park a .45 in Netanyahu’s brain pan and overthrow the Israeli government.
The world is not the US where pedophiles are celebrated, not even when they rat on or shoot their buddies.
Delivering him to stand before the ICC might be a better option.
Taco approval rating would go brrrrrrrr
Sure…except it’s Trump. He’d definitely want to do it the other way.
But other than that, I agree with you :)
I’m just here for the results either way. 🍿
What’s next, legal genocide?
Next?
Yes
